Yam exporters set to transport another committal to UK, USA
Prof. Simon Irtwang, Chairman, Technical Committee
on Yam Export, on Tuesday said yam exporters were concluding procedures to send
out another transfer of yam in the principal quarter.
Irtwang told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in
Lagos that the transfer would likewise be for the United Kingdom and United
States of America.
As per him, the board of trustees has been visiting
significant yam markets, particularly in the South-West, to review the nature
of yams there.
"Not all types of yam are useful for send out.
Along these lines, yam agriculturists and merchants need to know the species
that are useful for send out.
"They additionally need to know how to choose,
store and protect them to expand their freshness and capacity to remain long
without rotting.
"We likewise need to tell yam agriculturists
the seed yams they will plant that will be useful for send out,'' he said.
Irtwang said that the second fare would not pull in
